Footy x Brooklyn Org
Footy was founded in Brooklyn in 2011 — 15 years later we're running nearly 40 leagues across the borough. We know where Brooklyn actually plays. Brooklyn.Org started here too, in 2009, to bring together Brooklynites to become champions for change. Each year, Brooklyn Org’s community invests millions of dollars in nonprofits around the borough working across every issue to help our neighbors thrive.
We share the same instinct: a big idea for Brooklyn, built from the ground up. A place built on dignity and respect where every resident has the chance to take part and thrive. And we've got a plan to get there.
The plan is soccer. Because the game already does what the borough does best: it brings the whole block together, no translation required. So we're joining forces to turn a summer of soccer into something that lasts.
Same energy.
Same roots.
Same city.
VENUE:
KidSuper Rooftop
Where it all goes down
Of course it's in Brooklyn. Where else?
KidSuper is Colm Dillane’s nickname, the Williamsburg-born designer who turned a homegrown label into a global name, dressed everyone worth dressing, and took over a Paris runway without ever leaving Brooklyn behind. He built it here, and he kept it here.
That's the whole point. We didn't want a neutral field somewhere. We wanted a rooftop with a view of the borough that made all of us, run by someone who bet on Brooklyn the same way we do.
Same roots, same energy, same city.
